科德诺斯 (GRUPPO CORDENONS) 和环保
Our company’s commitment towards environment protection issues stems from the awareness that the impact of a product should be assessed in its broadest sense, and not just in the limited boundaries of our own industry.
Reducing the environmental impact of the paper production helps in turn other sectors reduce their impact, thanks to the sustainable management of resources.
Surely, however, this strategy is not easy to implement, given that both ecology and economy must be combined in a virtuous synergy and that massive advertising and awareness campaigns divert resources from investment.
Namely for this reason we have produced the Environmental Report in order to highlight our economic and strategic investments aimed at environmental protection: sustainability is a choice rather than a duty, a strategic and responsible choice which we are delighted to share with our stakeholders.
Although the market is not yet fully able to compare and adequately appreciate the environmental impact of our products, we have not spared our efforts in the investments that have allowed us to develop and promote low-impact processes and products.
What follows is a report containing real and measurable data demonstrating the management and the on-going monitoring of our production cycles because, in this context, transparency is crucial for the choice of the winning business decisions that have allowed us to reach an outstanding environmental performance.
Environmental efficiency, through the evaluation of the ecological impact as regards the creation of a product, is essential in our production strategy.
The search for products and environmentally friendly solutions has triggered a virtuous circle involving all stakeholders, from our employees to the end users, starting from the sites where the production facilities are located.
Far-sighted choices made in the past have allowed us to achieve important positions of primacy and recognitions as regards environmental issues. Although it is increasingly common to refer to terms such as "green", eco-friendly or environmentally friendly; the implementation of a serious environmental policy involves a radical change of company resource management and the optimization of the production plants, only on condition that it is managed in a responsible way.
Development based on economic growth alone is by definition unsustainable and destined to collapse because too impacting on natural systems; whereas improving the quality of life (and of the environment), combined with economic growth, lead to a more sustainable and winning development model.
This Environmental Report was laid out according to these principles and is a proof of the commitment and value we attach to environmental sustainability of business strategy.
